Installation Procedure

Important: Apply the weld joint in an environment that is free of dust or other dirt that could come into contact with the adhesive backing. Foreign material may cause improper adhesion.
- Warm the body panel with a J 25070
to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing on the molding.
- Remove the protective liner at the front edge of the weld joint molding.
- Align and center the front edge of the weld joint molding with the front edge of the weld joint.
- Position the molding to the location marks and press the molding to the mounting surface.
- Continue to remove the protective liner from the molding, centering the molding and pressing it into the weld joint.
- Remove the protective tape from the mounting surface.
