Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Apply the weld joint in an environment that is free of dust or other dirt that could come into contact with the adhesive backing. Foreign material may cause improper adhesion.

  1. Warm the body panel with a J 25070  to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

    Important:  Do not touch the adhesive backing on the molding.

  2. Remove the protective liner at the front edge of the weld joint molding.
  3. Align and center the front edge of the weld joint molding with the front edge of the weld joint.

  5. Position the molding to the location marks and press the molding to the mounting surface.
  6. Continue to remove the protective liner from the molding, centering the molding and pressing it into the weld joint.
  7. Remove the protective tape from the mounting surface.
