Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the push-in retainers from the bottom of the rocker molding at the rocker panel, using the J 38778.

  3. Remove the screw from the rocker molding at the front fender wheel opening edge.
  4. Release the retainers from the rocker molding at the front fender.
  5. Release the retainer from the rocker molding at the quarter panel.
  6. Remove the rocker molding by pulling off, from front to the rear.
    CAUTION: Refer to SAFETY GLASSES CAUTION .
  7. Drill the rivets from the rocker molding support using a 6.0 mm (0.236 in) drill bit.

  9. Remove the rocker molding support from the rocker panel.
