Conditions for Setting the DTC

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

DTC B1004 indicates that the keep alive, or long term, memory in the module has been reset. It is a normal occurrence whenever power or ground is removed from the module, such as when the battery is disconnected and reconnected.
