Rear Brake Rotor: Installation

  1. Install hub and rotor assembly. Install washer and adjusting nut. Using Wheel Bearing Nut Wrench (J-2222-C), tighten adjusting nut to 50 ft. lbs. (68 N.m) while turning hub and rotor assembly.
  2. Back off adjusting nut and tighten to 30-40 ft. lbs. (41-54 N.m) while turning hub and rotor assembly. Back off adjusting nut 135-150 degrees. Install lock washer and lock nut finger tight. Bend lock washer tab backward over adjusting nut flat at a minimum angle of 30 degrees.
  3. Tighten lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bend lock washer tab forward over lock nut flat at a minimum angle of 60 degrees. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
