Removal Procedure

- Open the rear and the front doors.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the center pillar garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT -- CENTER PILLAR .
- Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
- Remove the door wire harness connector (3) from the center pillar.
- Remove the door check link fasteners from the pillar.
- Remove the intermediate hinge fasteners (1) from both hinges.
- Lift the door to remove, with the aid of an assistant.
- Mark the position of the hinge on the body with a grease pencil.
- Remove the hinge to body fasteners.
Important: Be careful to secure the studplate within the door, when removing the hinge half from the door. The studplate is not attached to the door and could fall into the door.
- Mark the position of the hinge on the door with a grease pencil.
- Remove the hinge to door fasteners (1).
