Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  2. Peel the rear of the water deflector off far enough to access the energy absorbers. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  3. Cut the push pins that fasten the inner energy absorber to the door.
  4. Remove the energy absorber.
