Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat cushion cover to the foam pad.

  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the center screw retaining the latch cover.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Engage the hook, and the loop-strips that are retaining the seat cushion cover (3) to the foam pad (4).
  5. Install the seat buckles, if removed. Refer to SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - REAR or SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - NO. 2 REAR (60/40 SPLIT - 50/50 SPLIT) or SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - NO. 2 REAR (BENCH) .
  6. Connect the rear heater connector, if equipped.
  7. Install the hog rings, and/or the J-clips in order to retain the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion frame (8).
  8. Install the seat cushion plastic cover to the seat cushion frame.
  9. Install the rear passenger seat risers.
  10. Install the rear passenger seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear (60/40 Split)  or Seat Replacement - Rear (50/50 Split 2nd Rear) .
