Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat back cover and pad to the frame.
  2. Install the head restraint retainers.
  3. Install the plastic pushpin (1) into the side seat belt guide.

  5. Connect the J-Clips to the trim.
  6. Install the plastic seat belt guides (1).

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  8. Install the seat belt anchor bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 53 N.m (39 lbs ft)

  10. Install the side trim plate and screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lbs in)

  11. Install the headrests. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement (Non-Cadillac)  or Head Restraint Replacement (Cadillac)  or Head Restraint Replacement (Folding) .
  12. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear Bench .
