Removal Procedure

Pull the folding seatback cover in order to disengage the folding seatback cover from the retaining clips. Remove the folding seatback cover.

Raise the head restraint (1) to the full-up position.
Insert a pointed tool into the hole in the head restraint retainers.
Lift the head restraint from the retainers.
Remove the seat back cover and pad from the seat. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear (60/40 - 50/50 Split) or Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear (Bench) .
Remove the seat-back recliner handle screw from the mounting bracket.
Remove the seat back recliner handle.

Remove the bolts that retain the folding head restraint assembly to the front of the seat frame.

Remove the bolts that retain the folding head restraint assembly to the back of the seat frame.
Remove the cable from the folding head restraint assembly.
Remove the head restraint assembly from the vehicle.
