Removal Procedure

- Pull the folding seatback cover in order to disengage the folding seatback cover from the retaining clips. Remove the folding seatback cover.
- Raise the head restraint (1) to the full-up position.
- Insert a pointed tool into the hole in the head restraint retainers.
- Lift the head restraint from the retainers.
- Remove the seat back cover and pad from the seat. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear (60/40 - 50/50 Split) or Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear (Bench) .
- Remove the seat-back recliner handle screw from the mounting bracket.
- Remove the seat back recliner handle.
- Remove the bolts that retain the folding head restraint assembly to the front of the seat frame.
- Remove the bolts that retain the folding head restraint assembly to the back of the seat frame.
- Remove the cable from the folding head restraint assembly.
- Remove the head restraint assembly from the vehicle.
