Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the quarter panel trim to the vehicle.

  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the quarter panel trim screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Front  or Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear  .
  5. Install the trim panel. Refer to Trim Replacement - Third Pillar (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/Suburban)  or Trim Replacement - Third Pillar (Avalanche/Escalade EXT)  .
  6. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Corner  .
  7. Install the rear seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR (60/40 SPLIT) or SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR (50/50 SPLIT 2ND REAR) .
