Installation Procedure

  1. Install the actuator lever to the backing plate.
  2. Install the park brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Replacement (Except RPO NYS, 25/35 Series)  or Park Brake Shoe Replacement (25/35 Series)  .
  3. Adjust the park brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
  4. Install the rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR .
  5. Install the rear park brake cable to the park brake actuator lever.
  6. Tighten the nut to the intermediate cable at the equalizer. Tighten the nut to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).
  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  8. Remove the safety stands.
  9. Lower vehicle.
  10. Adjust park brake cable. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
