Installation Procedure

  1. Install the A/C compressor hose assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the A/C recirculation switch electrical connector to the A/C compressor hose assembly.
  3. Install the A/C compressor hose assembly to the condenser using new sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .
  4. Install the A/C compressor hose nut to the condenser. Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  5. Install the upper radiator baffle.
  6. Connect the A/C compressor hose assembly to the accumulator using new sealing washers.
  7. Install the nut at the accumulator. Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  8. Install the A/C compressor hose assembly mounting bolt. Tighten the nut to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
  9. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery & Recharging .
  10. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A  .
