Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery insulator, if necessary.
  2. Install the auxiliary battery.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install battery hold down retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the auxiliary positive battery cable.

    Tighten:  Tighten the auxiliary positive battery cable bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  6. Snap the auxiliary positive battery cable cap closed.

  8. Connect the auxiliary negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
