Installation Procedure

  1. Place the lower hinge studs (1) into the stowage compartment (2).

    IMPORTANT: If equipped with a gasket, ensure the gasket alignment surrounds the retainers to prevent water intrusion.
  3. Install the lower hinge retainers (1).

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Align the upper hinge with the stowage compartment lid and install the screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  6. Reinstall the stowage compartment onto the vehicle. Refer to Lid Replacement - Cargo Box Stowage Box (Avalanche) .
