Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear license plate attaching hardware from the rear bumper.
- Remove the spare tire wheel hoist guide and retaining clip. Refer to TIRE HOIST AND SHAFT REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the top fascia step pads. Refer to STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - TOP REAR BUMPER .
- Remove the center fascia step pads. Refer to STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - CENTER REAR BUMPER .
- Remove the rear object sensors. Refer to REAR OBJECT SENSOR REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the rear fascia from the bumper bar.
- Release the lamp assembly tab from the rear fascia to remove.
- Release the lamp socket by turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
- Remove the lamp assembly from the vehicle.
