Removal Procedure

  1. Ensure that the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Remove the rear compartment cover assembly.
  3. Remove the cargo box bridge center bar. Refer to PANEL REPLACEMENT - CARGO BOX BRIDGE CENTER (AVALANCHE) or PANEL REPLACEMENT - CARGO BOX BRIDGE CENTER (ESCALADE EXT) .
  4. Fig 1: Stoplamp Retaining Screws

  5. Remove the stoplamp retaining screws.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  9. Remove the lamp assembly from the cargo box bridge center bar.
