Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  2. Remove the lower anchor bolt from bodyside panel.
  3. Remove the third pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT) .
  4. Route the belt through trim panel.

  6. Remove the bolt from the upper guide.
  7. Remove the bolt from the retractor.
  8. Remove the seat belt anchor bolt cover.
  9. Remove the floor anchor bolt.
  10. Remove the assembly from the vehicle.
