Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  The assist handle retaining screws are located under the handle. DO NOT remove the roof rail lamp cover and remove its two screws. The retainers (1) for these screws will fall behind the headliner.

  1. Pull the assist handle down to expose its screws.
  2. Remove the two screws (2).

  4. Disconnect the roof rail lamp electric connector.
  5. Remove the assist handle from the vehicle.
