Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the side rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  2. Remove the hinged side window or the stationary side window. Refer to HINGED BODY SIDE WINDOW REPLACEMENT or BODY SIDE STATIONARY WINDOW REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Side Rear Door Lower  or Weatherstrip Replacement - Side Door Window  .
  4. Remove the side rear door upper and lower door wedges from the door. Refer to Door Locator and Wedge Replacement - Sliding (Locator)  or Door Locator and Wedge Replacement - Sliding (Wedge)  .
  5. Remove the upper and the lower door latches. Refer to Latch Replacement - Side Door Upper  and Latch Replacement - Side Door Lower  .
  6. Remove the latch rods from the door.
  7. Remove the latch handle. Refer to Latch Control Handle Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  8. Remove the latch striker. Refer to Striker Replacement - Door (Not RPO PRP) .
  9. Remove the side rear door hinge pins using J 41226-50.
  10. Remove the side rear door from the vehicle.
