Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Insert the seat cushion locators, at the rear of the seat cushion frame, into the rectangular openings in the seat adjuster assembly.
  2. Install the memory seat module to the seat cushion frame, if equipped. Refer to Memory Seat Control Module Replacement  .
  3. Secure the wiring harness to the seat cushion frame in the same position in which it was removed.
  4. Install the power seat switches. Refer to Seat Switch Replacement - Power  .
  5. Lower the front of the seat cushion down into position onto the seat adjuster assembly.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the seat cushion fasteners (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Enable the SIR. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM in SIR.
