Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat back pad (2) over the seat back frame (1).

  2. Install the seat back cover (2) over the seat back pad (1).
  3. Work the foam pad into position so there are no wrinkles or lumps.
  4. Ensure the hook and loop fastener on the cover and pad are fully engaged in order to ensure proper fit of the seat back cover.

  5. Install the head restraint retainers. Refer to Head Restraint Retainer Replacement - Front Seat  .
  6. Install the Inflatable restraint. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (SIDE IMPACT) in SIR.
  7. Install the shoulder belt retractor. Refer to SEAT BELT REPLACEMENT -- FRONT in Seat Belts.
  8. Connect the J channel fastener (1).

  9. Connect the J channel fasteners (2,3).
  10. Connect the double J channel fastener (5).
  11. Connect the J and arrow fasteners (1,4).
  12. Install the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat  .
  13. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Front  .
  14. Enable the SIR system. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM in SIR.
