Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR HANDLING CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Position the seat back to the full upright position.
  3. Position the seat cushion out of the way. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Front  .
  4. Remove the seat back cover and pad in order to gain access to the lumbar assembly. Refer to Seat Back Cover And Pad Replacement - Front  .
    CAUTION: Refer to ELECTRICAL WIRING ROUTING NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the lumbar.
  6. Note the routing of the wiring for reinstallation.
  7. Release the 2 retainers at the bottom of the lumbar assembly.
  8. Pull downward on the lumbar assembly in order to release the lumbar from the seat back frame.
  9. Remove the lumbar assembly from the seat.
