Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the shift interlock cable to the ignition switch.
  3. Route the ignition switch through the radio opening and position to the retainer.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  4. Install the fasteners in order to secure the ignition switch to the IP retainer.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 in lbs).

  5. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement  .
