Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Set the forward edge of the insulator onto the shelf of the dash mat.
  2. Install the heater temperature sensor (2) into the closeout insulator panel (3) by turning 1/4 turn clockwise.
  3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the lower IP courtesy lamp.
  4. Position the closeout insulator panel (3) to the IP retainer.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the fasteners in order to secure the close out insulator panel to the IP retainer.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 in lbs).

  6. Install the push in fastener in order to secure the closeout insulator panel to the IP retainer.
