Removal (Left)

  1. Raise and suitably support vehicle. Remove exhaust pipe heat shield bolts. Reposition heat shield to side in order to access exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold bolts.
  2. Remove exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold bolts. Lower vehicle in order to work through front wheelhouse opening. Remove wheelhouse panel.
  3. Remove front tire and wheel. Remove charged air cooler outlet duct.
  4. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield bolts. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield. Remove exhaust manifold bolts/nuts. Remove exhaust manifold. Remove manifold from rear stud. Remove manifold from front stud. Slide manifold out bottom, past oil filter.
  5. Remove and discard exhaust manifold gasket. Clean and inspect exhaust manifold.
