Push roller towards roller lifter body and measure distance between bottom of roller and roller lifter body. The production value is 0.0389-0.0394" (0.989-1.0 mm) and service limit is 0.0354" (0.9 mm). Replace valve lifter if measurement exceeds service limit. Inspect valve lifter body for scuffing and wear, valve lifter roller assembly for wear and valve lifter roller for smooth rotation.
