Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .
  3. Remove the seat belt bracket on the door side of the seat.
  4. Remove the seat belt buckle. Refer to SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT .
  5. Remove the electrical harness from the power seat motor harness.

  6. Remove the electrical harness clip and disconnect the harness retainer from the adjuster bracket.

  7. Recline the seat back to the full reclined position.
  8. Remove the trim cover J-hooks from the seat front and from the seat sides.
  9. Fold back the seat trim and the pad to access the adjuster bolts.
  10. Remove the 4 adjuster bolts.

  11. Remove the seat adjuster.
