Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Place protective coverings over the adjacent body panels.
  3. Use a grease pencil in order to mark the hinge to the rear compartment lid for the location at installation.

  5. Remove the wiring harness. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
  6. Remove the compartment lid applique. Refer to Compartment Lid Applique Replacement - Rear .
  7. Remove the key lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
  8. Remove the latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
  9. Remove the black rubber bumpers located above the hinge.
  10. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the upper rear compartment lid hinge to the rear compartment lid.
  11. Remove the nuts from the rear compartment hinges, with an assistant.
  12. Remove the rear compartment lid, with an assistant.
