Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  2. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.

  3. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
  4. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the engine.
  5. Remove the bolt attaching the pipe assembly to the engine.
  6. Remove the surge tank inlet pipe assembly.
