Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the surge tank inlet pipe assembly to the engine.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolt attaching the pipe assembly to the engine.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the surge tank inlet pipe bolt to 9 N.m (80 in lbs).

  3. Connect the surge tank inlet hose to the surge tank.
  4. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
