Control Valve Body Cover: Removal

  1. Position vehicle on hoist and raise vehicle. Remove left wheel and tire assembly. Remove left splash shield. See Figure .
  2. Remove front pitch restrictor-to-transaxle bolts. See Figure . Remove front pitch restrictor through-bolt and pitch restrictor. See Figure .
  3. Remove transaxle oil cooler lines from transaxle. See TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER LINE ASSEMBLY  . Place drain pan or suitable container under vehicle. Remove transaxle oil cooler line assembly nut from transaxle. See Figure . Remove transaxle oil cooler lines from vehicle.
  4. Remove Torx bolts and washers from the control valve body cover and discard. Ensure not to damage transaxle control valve body cover, case or sealing surfaces. Remove control valve body cover. See Figure .
