Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the air conditioning compressor stud.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the air conditioning compressor stud to 25 N.m (18 ft lbs).

  2. Slide the air conditioning compressor over the air conditioning compressor stud and hold into position.
  3. Install the air conditioning compressor side bolts finger tight.

  4. Install the air conditioning compressor front bolt and nut finger tight.
  5. Tighten the air conditioning compressor bolts and nut in the following sequence:

    Tighten 

    1. 5.1. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front nut to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
    2. 5.2. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front bolt to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
    3. 5.3. Tighten the air conditioning compressor side upper bolt to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
    4. 5.4. Tighten the air conditioning compressor side lower bolt to 25 N.m (18 ft lbs).
