Inspection Procedure

Inspect the water crossover for corrosion or damage to the gasket sealing surfaces (1).

Inspect the water crossover for the following:
- Corrosion or damage to the seal/gasket sealing surfaces for the following:
  - EGR valve (2)
  - EGR inlet pipe (5)
  - EGR outlet pipe (9)
- Corrosion or damage to the threads for the following connections:
  - EGR valve studs (3)
  - EGR inlet pipe bolt (6)
  - EGR outlet pipe bolt (10)
- Corrosion or damage to the throttle body heater pipe (1)
- Corrosion or damage to the heater hose outlet fitting (4)
- Corrosion or damage to the fastener bosses (7)
- Corrosion or damage to the radiator hose outlet (8)
- Corrosion or restrictions within the engine coolant passages
- Corrosion or restrictions within the EGR passages

Repair or replace the water crossover as necessary.
