Oil Pump Assemble

  1. The dimpled surface must be face-up in the pump body.

  2. Install the inner (5) and the outer rotors (6) in the pump cover in the same orientation as removed. The outer rotor has dimple to indicate the outer surface.
  3. Install the pressure relief valve piston (2) and pressure relief valve spring (3) in the pump housing bore.
    CAUTION: Refer to in FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the pressure relief valve cap (4).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the pressure relief valve cap (4) to 11 N.m (97 in lbs).

  5. Pack the pump housing with white petroleum jelly to ensure pump priming.
  6. Assemble the housing (1) and cover (7).
  7. Install the bolts (8).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 14 N.m (124 in lbs).
