Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel.
  3. Remove the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to Wheel Hub & Bearing Replacement .
  4. Remove the upper ball joint. Refer to Upper Ball Joint Replacement .
  5. Remove the lower ball joint. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement .
  6. Remove the outer tie rod retaining nut and bracket (2).
  7. Disconnect the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle using the J 24319-B  (1).

  8. Remove the park brake cable retaining bolt (3) from the steering knuckle.

  9. Remove the steering knuckle (2) from the vehicle.
