Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering knuckle (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the upper ball joint. Refer to Upper Ball Joint Replacement .
  3. Install the lower ball joint. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement .
  4. Install the park brake cable retaining bolt (3) to the steering knuckle. Tighten the bolt to 65 N.m (48 ft lbs).
  5. Install the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to Wheel Hub & Bearing Replacement .
  6. Install the outer tie rod retaining nut to the steering knuckle. Tighten the nut to 55 N.m (40 ft lbs).
  7. Install the outer tie rod retaining bracket (2). Tighten the bracket to 65 N.m (48 ft lbs).
  8. Install the tire and wheel.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
