Installation Procedure

  1. Install the outer tie rod end to the inner tie rod.
  2. Install the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
  3. Install the outer tie rod end retaining nut to the steering knuckle. Tighten the nut to 55 N.m (40 ft lbs).
  4. Install the outer tie rod end retaining bracket (2). Tighten the retaining bolts to 65 N.m (48 ft lbs).
  5. Install the tire and wheel.
  6. Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Tighten the tie rod jam nut. Tighten the nut to 65 N.m (48 ft lbs).
