Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Remove the fuel injector site shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT in Engine Mechanical-3.5L.
  3. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LX5)  or Power Steering Pulley Replacement (L47)  .
  4. Remove the power steering pump pressure hose (1) from the power steering pump.

  5. Remove the power steering pump return hose from the power steering pump.

  6. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts.
  7. Remove the power steering pump.
  8. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle .
