Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat adjuster (2) to the seat.
    CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  2. Install the bolts in order to retain the seat adjuster to the seat.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts in order to retain the seat adjuster (2) to the seat to 25 N.m (18 ft lbs).

  3. Install the front seat and the seat adjuster (2) to the seat riser (4).
  4. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the seat adjuster to the seat riser.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts (3) in order to retain the seat adjuster (2) to the seat riser (4) to 45 N.m (33 ft lbs).

  5. Install the front lower speaker to the passenger seat, if removed. Refer to AMPLIFIER AND/OR SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT (LUXURY Y91) .
  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the power seat motors, if equipped.
