Park Brake Lever Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove the floor console. See Fig 1 .
  2. Disable the Park Brake Automatic Adjuster. See PARK BRAKE CABLE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTER  under ADJUSTMENT & INSPECTIONS.
  3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the park brake cables from the equalizer. See Figure .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.
  7. Remove the remaining park brake lever retaining nut. See Fig 2 .
  8. Remove the park brake lever assembly from the vehicle.
