Master Cylinder Reservoir: Installation

- Lubricate the new seals and the outer surface area of the reservoir-to-housing barrels with Delco Supreme 11(R) (GM P/N 12377967) or equivalent DOT-3 bake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. See Fig 1 .
- Install the lubricated seals, make sure that the seals are fully seated in the brake master cylinder.
- Install the reservoir to the brake master cylinder.
- Install the reservoir retaining pins.
- Remove the brake master cylinder from the vise.
- Install the brake master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
NOTE:
When performing the following service procedure, apply equal pressure to ensure proper seating of the reservoir and the pin holes are aligned.
