Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate filler. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster Lower .
  2. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster .
  3. Remove the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Trim Plate Replacement .
  4. Remove the bolts at the lower edge of the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel.
  5. Pull on the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel in order to disengage the retainers.
  6. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel from the vehicle.
  7. Inspect the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel for broken or missing retainers.

    Replace the retainers as needed.
