Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolts that retain the instrument panel passenger knee bolster to the knee bolster brackets.
  3. Pull on the instrument panel passenger knee bolster in order to disengage the retainers.
  4. Remove the instrument panel passenger knee bolster from the vehicle.
  5. Inspect the instrument panel passenger knee bolster for broken or missing retainers.

    Replace the retainers as needed.
