Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower extension upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Extension Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolts (4) that retain the top outer edges of the instrument panel lower extension.
  3. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the top and the bottom of the instrument panel lower extension.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the following components:
    • The lighter
    • The accessory plug
    • The storage compartment lamp
  5. Remove the instrument panel lower extension (2) from the vehicle.
