Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector.
- Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System
- Remove the LH and RH engine mount strut braces. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT , ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - RIGHT and ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - LEFT .
- Remove the left front fender upper diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER UPPER DIAGONAL in BODY FRONT END .
- Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
- Remove the PCM harness from the fan shroud clip.
- Remove the cooling fan shroud bolts.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the retainer from the lower left side of the fan shroud.
- Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the bottom of the cooling fan shroud.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the cooling fan shroud clip from the top of the radiator.
- Remove the radiator upper support brackets that connect to the fan shroud.
- Remove the fan motor heat shields.
- Remove the cooling fan shroud.
