Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir (3) to the lower retainer and the shock tower studs.
  2. Install the nuts (2) to the shock tower studs.

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the nuts to 3.3 N.m (29 in lbs) 

  3. Lubricate the reservoir hose with clean water. Route the hose to the radiator overflow neck fitting.
  4. Install the coolant reservoir hose (1), to the radiator overflow fitting.

    Important:  The hose end must be flush against the radiator filler neck. Seat the clamp squarely between the radiator filler neck and the flared end of the fitting.

  5. Reposition the coolant reservoir hose clamp to the radiator overflow fitting.
  6. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - CROSS VEHICLE in BODY FRONT END .
  7. Fill the coolant recovery reservoir to the proper level.
