Brakes Self Apply When Turning Steering Wheel

  1. Were you sent here from DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES? If so, go to next step. If not, see DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  .
  2. Inspect the steering system for proper operation. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  4 . If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the brake assist system for proper operation. See BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM TESTING  . Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to next step. If not, see DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - HYDRAULIC BRAKES  .
  4. Road test the vehicle in order to confirm proper operation. See BRAKE SYSTEM VEHICLE ROAD TEST  . Is the condition still present? If so, go to step  2 . If not, repair is complete.
