Wheel Cylinder: Removal

  1. Raise the vehicle and support the vehicle with safety stands. Remove the tire and the wheel from the vehicle.
  2. Install the pin into the park brake lever. See ENABLING THE PARK BRAKE CABLE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTER  .
  3. Remove the rear brake drums. See BRAKE DRUM  . Remove the rear brake shoes. See REAR BRAKE SHOES  .
  4. Disconnect the brake pipe from the rear brake cylinder. See BRAKE PIPE  .
  5. Remove the rear brake cylinder retaining bolts. Remove the rear brake cylinder from the vehicle.
