Master Cylinder: Removal

  1. Apply the park brake.
  2. Disconnect the brake pipes from the brake master cylinder. Plug the brake pipes in order to prevent brake fluid contamination.
  3. Remove the nuts (Brake Master Cylinder Mounting Nuts) that connect the brake master cylinder to the brake booster (vacuum booster not shown). See Fig 1 . Remove the brake master cylinder from the brake booster.
