Hydraulic Brake Booster Accumulator: Installation

  1. Lubricate all seals and metal friction points with power steering fluid GM P/N 1052884. Install the accumulator and O-ring seal. See Figure .
  2. Place the Accumulator Piston Compressor over the end of the accumulator. See Figure . Install the nut on the stud. Depress the accumulator with a C-clamp.
  3. Install the accumulator retainer ring. See Figure . Release the C-clamp. Remove the nut from the stud. Remove the Accumulator Piston Compressor.
  4. Install the master cylinder to the hydraulic booster.
